Afton is a master’s practicum clinician completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She has worked in community-based organizations with diverse populations, children, and adolescents for 10 years. Her experience in this setting inspired a change in career towards becoming a therapist, driven by a deep commitment to helping people navigate their challenges and achieve personal growth.
Afton provides an integrative and client-centered approach that is tailored to each unique client and their circumstances. She draws on a variety of therapeutic modalities which include CBT, DBT, Humanistic (Rogerian), Internal Family Systems, Family Systems, and Psychodynamic therapies. She is dedicated to providing a non-judgmental, empathetic, and collaborative space to support client goals.
