Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)

My calling is to support people navigating anxiety, autism, depression, childhood trauma, fetal alcohol syndrome,  complex PTSD, chronic illness, Downs syndrome,  inellectual disability, chronic pain, neurodivergence, emotional dysregulation, leadership challenges, and the lasting impacts of stressful or overwhelming life experiences.

Having witnessed the realities of chronic illness and chronic pain within my own family, I understand how profoundly these experiences can affect every aspect of life, such as our relationships, sense of identity, emotional well-being, and hopes for the future. When we are struggling, it can feel as though life has become smaller, heavier, or more difficult to navigate. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, discover new possibilities, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful, balanced, and fulfilling.

I believe that healing happens within a safe, authentic, and compassionate therapeutic relationship. My approach is deeply client-centred, meaning I see you as the expert in your own life. You already possess wisdom, resilience, and inner resources; my role is to help you access them, make sense of your experiences, and support you in creating the changes that matter most to you.

At the heart of my work are empathy, respect, authenticity, and autonomy. I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted… a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment.

I am also passionate about the connection between mind and body. Our bodies often carry emotions, stress, and experiences that words alone cannot fully express. Through a gentle and compassionate exploration of this mind-body connection, we can gain deeper insight into patterns that may be keeping you stuck and discover new pathways toward healing and growth.

No two people are alike, and I believe therapy should reflect that. I tailor each session to your unique needs, goals, strengths, and lived experiences, drawing from evidence-based and somatic approaches to create a counselling experience that feels meaningful, empowering, and effective.

Outside of the therapy room, I nurture my own well-being through hiking, yoga, and creative fibre arts. These are practices that help me stay grounded, present, and connected with myself.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, exhausted, or simply longing for something different, you do not have to navigate it alone. It would be an honour to walk alongside you as you deepen your understanding of yourself, strengthen your relationship with your body and emotions, and move toward the life you want to create.
