Supporting Mental Health in the Workplace
At Love This Therapy, we understand that mental health doesn’t pause when we arrive at work. In fact, for many, the workplace can be a significant source of stress, overwhelm, and emotional burnout. That’s why we’re proud to offer Corporate Wellness Consulting, a specialized service designed to support employee health while improving productivity, engagement, and morale.
A successful corporate wellness program promotes employee engagement and helps reduce health care costs through proactive health risk assessments, wellness challenges, and accessible counseling services. Prioritizing mental health problems and promoting mental well being in the workplace can improve job satisfaction, support personal lives, and enhance company culture. Offering gym memberships, team building activities, or healthy food options can further align with your wellness goals. When organizations implement a comprehensive wellness program, they not only keep their employees healthy but also create a more productive, resilient, and balanced workforce prepared to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced professional landscape.
Led by our Registered Clinical Counsellor Ben Frizzo and Registered Clinical Counsellor-ACS and CCC Paula Bude, these workshops, wellness programs and consulting services are rooted in evidence-based psychological practices and tailored to meet the unique needs of your organization.
Why Corporate Mental Health Matters
Your team is your company’s greatest asset. And yet, according to the Mental Health Commission of Canada, nearly one in three Canadian workers experience mental health challenges that impact their ability to thrive at work.
Whether it’s the pressure of deadlines, interpersonal dynamics, or the sheer toll of multitasking, the modern workplace can become a breeding ground for anxiety, burnout, and disengagement. Proactively addressing these challenges isn’t just a benefit—it’s a necessity for sustainable success.
Investing in corporate wellness isn’t just about improving morale—it’s a strategic move toward reducing healthcare costs and fostering a healthy workplace environment. A well-designed corporate wellness program can incorporate health screenings, stress management initiatives, and mental health services that are tailored to the needs of your team.
These initiatives go beyond simple perks by addressing chronic health conditions, supporting occupational wellness, and ensuring health improvements that benefit both employees and employers alike. By encouraging healthy habits such as smoking cessation programs, fitness classes, and healthy eating habits, companies can build a foundation for long-term employee satisfaction and a thriving workplace.
The Human Side of Work: Insights from Leading Experts
Modern workplace dynamics are increasingly complex—and deeply personal. As renowned psychotherapist Dr. Esther Perel explores in her podcast How’s Work?, the office has become a second emotional home, where old relationship patterns, power dynamics, and attachment styles play out. Her work highlights that improving team function means understanding the interpersonal—how we communicate, how we set boundaries, and how we handle conflict.
Similarly, Dr. Susan David, psychologist and creator of Emotional Agility, reminds us that thriving at work doesn’t mean ignoring difficult emotions—it means learning to navigate them skillfully. Her research shows that organizations that help employees engage with their inner experiences (rather than suppressing them) foster greater psychological safety and innovation.
At Love This Therapy, we bring these leading-edge insights into our workshops. We explore not just how teams’ function—but how people feel, and how those feelings shape performance, connection, and company culture.

Invest in Employee Health and Wellness
Corporate wellness isn’t about surface-level perks or checking boxes. It’s about creating environments where people can thrive emotionally, socially, and mentally—and where their sense of belonging fuels sustainable performance.
One of the biggest barriers to mental health support in the workplace is stigma. Many employees still feel hesitant to speak up about their mental health needs out of fear of being judged or misunderstood. Our workshops help shift this culture by normalizing these conversations and building shared language around emotional well-being. When leadership and staff engage in open, supportive dialogue about mental health, the result is a more connected, compassionate, and productive team.
When you partner with Love This Therapy, you’re not only supporting your team—you’re investing in a workplace culture built on empathy, trust, and resilience.
