With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Ivity works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has particular expertise in neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and is passionate about helping clients discover not only why they’re struggling, but also the strengths they already possess.

Dr. Ivity also has extensive experience supporting individuals with other developmental disabilities, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Cerebral Palsy, and Down syndrome, while working collaboratively with families, schools, physicians, and other professionals to provide thoughtful, individualized care.

In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Ivity provides ADHD coaching and executive functioning coaching, helping children, teens, and adults develop practical strategies for organization, planning, emotional regulation, time management, school success, workplace effectiveness, and everyday life.

Dr. Ivity believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. She takes a warm, collaborative, and individualized approach, recognizing that no two people experience life in exactly the same way. Drawing from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Family Systems Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, she tailors treatment to each client’s unique strengths, goals, and circumstances.

Virtual Counselling & Virtual Assessment Services

At Love This Therapy, Dr. Ivity provides virtual counselling for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

She also offers virtual ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments for individuals aged 16 and older. Her assessments are comprehensive, collaborative, and designed to provide meaningful diagnostic clarity while helping clients better understand their unique strengths, challenges, and recommendations for moving forward. 

Dr. Ivity values interdisciplinary collaboration and regularly works alongside paediatricians, family physicians, school teams, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure clients receive coordinated, client-centred care.

Dr. Ivity earned her interdisciplinary Ph.D. from the University of Alberta through the Faculties of Medicine and Educational Psychology. Her Master’s and doctoral research focused on the role of Omega-3 fatty acid supplementation in children with ADHD, reflecting her long-standing commitment to neurodevelopmental research and evidence-based practice.

She is a Licensed Psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) and is a member of the British Columbia Psychological Association (BCPA).
