I completed my MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology at Lakehead University in Ontario, and BS (Honours) in Psychology from Roberts Wesleyan University in New York. I completed my clinical residency year at Northwestern Ontario Residency Psychology Internship Consortium, working with children and adults in private practice and community health settings, conducting psychological assessments and therapy.
My clinical practice encompasses psychological assessments for individuals of all ages. I am passionate about using a strength-based approach to assess neurodevelopmental conditions, ensuring needs are understood while also highlighting the individual’s strengths.
For therapy, I have experience working with school-age children with a wide range of psychological and neurodevelopmental concerns. I can incorporate child-friendly protocols and skills, such as the Coping Cat program for children ages 7-13 with anxiety and the Zones of Regulation curriculum for emotion regulation in children 5 years and older. Talk and play therapy can also be catered to individual children’s needs.
Assessment: Comprehensive psychological assessments and delivery of DSM-V-TR diagnoses for children ages 6+, adolescents and adults
Psychodiagnostic: Mental Health Disorders including mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma disorders, conduct disorder, substance-related and addictive disorders, somatic symptom disorders, dissociative disorders
Psychoeducational: Neurodevelopmental Disorders including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), specific learning disorders (LD), intellectual development disorder (ID), intellectual giftedness
Your assessment will include a clinical interview, in-person administration of psychological testing batteries (for neurodevelopmental disorders), filling out questionnaires, receiving a comprehensive written assessment report, and an oral feedback session. Diagnoses will be delivered when clinical criteria for disorders are met.
I offer neurodiversity-affirming assessment and therapy, empowering individuals to understand their needs and unique strengths. I use an integrative therapy approach, utilizing evidence-based techniques and personal needs and strengths to collaborate on treatment.
