Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right – Henry Ford

Moments of pressure, including the end of a close game or being stuck in a situation that feels uncontrollable in life, are not easy to get through on your own. Whether it’s daily life, relationships, work, or competitions, I use my unique expertise in counselling and sports psychology to support people facing various levels of pressure.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Certified Mental Performance Consultant ®, my unique approach for counselling and athletic mental health services includes a balance of warmth and practicality. I help my clients to feel like they’re not alone in this, that we have an opportunity to explore, and that there are strategies we can work on together to achieve their goals. Clients can work with me whether they are deeply struggling or simply wanting to enhance their daily life. You don’t have to have a diagnosis to start general or athletic mental health services with me – we can start anywhere!

My abilities to assess and provide tailored mental coaching for athletes and overall counselling skills have been recognized across the organizations I’ve worked in – Love This Therapy, Edge Counselling and Consulting, LifeWorks Canada, Basketball BC, Pacific Sea Wolves, Douglas College, and University of the Fraser Valley. I’ve had the pleasure of working with several clients expressing they benefitted in their confidence, emotion management, and overall mindset management in our journey together. Parents of teens seeking anxiety treatment for athletes have highlighted how meaningful it is to have a counsellor who is also trained in sports and performance, for recreational or competitive purposes.

Outside of mental health and sports performance counselling, I enjoy spending time with my family, two cats, friends, and my teammates. I try to engage in reading, tv shows, live sports events, soccer, yoga, pilates, and my own health appointments to care for my needs and continue growing as a person and professional.

Counselling and consulting services can be brief (2-8 sessions) or long-term (12+) depending on your needs, goals, and readiness to apply our work outside sessions. I make sure to provide concrete ideas and resources to help feel less stuck and more empowered to make the changes you want in your life. If you’d like to see if we’d be a good fit and work together on your goals, feel free to book a discovery call or initial session (50 or 60mins).
